Tory & Josh at The Grand Lodge at Oaklands

This was my first time at The Grand Lodge at Oaklands and it’s been on my list for a while so it was amazing to finally be a Oaklands wedding photographer! And what a beauty of a place to get married. The venue consist of 3 main areas all based about a lake in the centre. ‘The Grand Lodge’ where the wedding breakfast and reception happen, this statement building is so beautiful and has plenty of outdoor seating for the drinks reception. The Lakeside Lodge, the indoor ceremony space and ‘The Pavilion’ the truly unique outdoor ceremony space where you can enjoy an outdoor ceremony next to the lake however you and your guests are covered by a wooden roof which means you can have an outdoor ceremony even if we have a traditional ‘British summer’.

We started off the day at Tory & Josh’s beautiful family home for bridal prep with Tory and her 9 bridesmaids while my wonderful second shooter Eve headed to Josh and his groomsmen close by.

Never have I met a close knit bunch of ladies ready to have more fun than this wonderful bunch, bridal prep was so much fun and the love these ladies all had for each other was so lovely to capture. Once ready we all headed over to the Grand Lodge at Oaklands for their outdoor ceremony in The Pavilion. After the ceremony Tory planned a confetti shot like no other, a procession, lead by their page boy (who absolutely stole the show) followed by their bridal party, it started with smoke bombs and ended with the biggest confetti canons! This was such a highlight of the day and really set the vibe for the rest of the day.

After some fun group shots with their nearest and dearest we had a wander to take some beautiful portraits of Tory & Josh. We had so much fun and laughed non stop!

Then it was onto their wedding breakfast and some very emotional speeches included one from Tory who gave one of the funniest brides speeches I’ve ever heard!

The sun was shining all day so everyone headed back outside after a wonderful dinner for more shots of tequila rose and cocktails. The energy was wonderfully high all day and the dancing and laughter continued well into the night on the dance floor! Glow sticks, Confetti streamers, animal masks and a 360 photo booth completed the evening perfectly!
