Lauren & Jack at Aldwark Manor
This was my first time at Aldwark Manor Estate in York and I hope it won’t be my last! This stunning venue is set within 200 acres of countryside and fun fact it was originally commissioned by Lord Walsingham in 1865 as a wedding present for his eldest daughter so it’s fitting that it’s now a well established wedding venue all these years later.
Lauren and her bridesmaids got ready in amazing bridal suite at Aldwark, a huge space which includes a staircase going up-to a dressing room specially for the bride, plenty of space to hang all the dresses and an outside balcony where you can have a sneaky peek of your guests arriving. My amazing second shooter Becky was with Jack and his groomsmen who were looking very dapper dressed in black tie.
The outdoor ceremony space for Lauren & Jacks wedding was incredible, the aisle beautifully lined with fresh flowers by Lilliana Florist which lead to an ornate pergola which is where they said there ‘I Do’s’. Lauren walked down the aisle to a very emotional Jack as they enjoyed a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their children and family & friends.
After a stunning confetti moment back down the aisle everyone headed to the lawns for canapés, drinks and lawn games. We then popped back to the ceremony space for some group photos and down to the lake for some couple portraits. After enjoying their drinks reception we headed in for a delicious wedding breakfast and speeches before heading back outside to enjoy the sunshine. The laughter and joy in Lauren & Jacks wedding reception was infectious and everyone was having the time of their lives!
They kicked off their reception back inside with their first dance and some epic moves on the dance floor and the night ended back outside with some amazing fireworks!
Thank you so much Lauren & Jack for having me and Becky be a part of your day, we had a blast!
