Chelsea & Dale at Hooton Pagnell Hall
Imagine a September wedding, you would think about autumn creeping in, cooler weather and that slow decline towards the winter months. What you wouldn’t expect is a heat wave, 35c and the hottest day of the year which is exactly what Chelsea and Dale had for their Hooton Pagnell Hall wedding in 2023.
The day started in the magnificent bridal suite at Hooton Pagnell, as I’ve said before the light in this room is just amazing and makes for some beautiful bridal prep photos. A special mention to Chelseas glam squad here, Emma Lee on Hair and Evangeline Horner on make-up, as despite the weather Chelsea looked absolute perfection all day, her make-up did not budge!
After an emotional moment with her Dad and some bridal portraits in Chelsea’s stunning (and very heavy) dress we headed to St Cuthberts Church Ackworth for their ceremony. Dale’s side of the family has Scottish heritage so they choose a colour scheme of green and blue with a hint of tartan for the gents ties with their gorgeous little boy wearing a traditional kilt. Chelsea and her bridesmaids also arrived to the church with bagpipes playing as Dale awaited Chelseas arrival.
After the ceremony it was time to make the most of this sunshine and head to the lawns at Hooton Pagnell Hall for drinks and photos. The wonderful Abbie Hanlon entertained them with some beautiful songs before they made their way into the wedding breakfast. Emily at Blossem did an incredible job with the flowers for the day, Chelseas bouquet was absolutely stunning (and huge!) and the interior of the tithe barn looked just as amazing.
After their meal and speeches everyone headed straight back outside to enjoy one of the most incredible sunsets I have ever seen at Hooton Pagnell. Sunsets at Hooton Pagnell Hall are something else anyway, from the lawns the sun sets over the rolling hills of Yorkshire and you can see for miles while sitting and enjoying a cocktail or two. But this one was one to remember, their guests enjoyed the peachy orange sky while we took the opportunity for a few more couple portraits. The girls wanted in on the sunset action so Chelsea and her bridesmaids ran up and down the lawns getting some super cute group shots of them all.
Once the sun had set, we headed back inside for the cake cut, first dance and some incredible dance floor action!
Thanks so much to Chelsea and Dale for having me be a part of your day!
