Abi & Dan at Grantley Hall
Grantley Hall is one of those venues that just makes your jaw drop from the minute you drive down it’s sweeping driveway. From the creamy brick tones of the building to the perfectly manicured grounds, it’s a photographers dream and it definitely made for a perfect back drop for Abi & Dan’s stylish wedding day.
Abi & Dan’s wedding day was a little different for me as I was associate shooting for Arabella Smith Weddings while she was looking after her beautiful baby on maternity leave. So unlike normal when I’ve built a relationship with my couples before the day I first met Abi & Dan the morning of their wedding and they could not have been more welcoming.
Abi had thought of every last stylish detail from the beautiful matching but under stated silk pjs her and her bridesmaids wore in the morning to the perfectly matched bow that was ready for a hair change in the evening, Abi and her ladies looked picture perfect the entire day and after a hugely emotional moment with Abi’s Dad we all headed down to the ceremony in the beautiful ornate music room.
After the gorgeous ceremony we headed out on the sun soaked lawns for drinks and canapés, while their guests were being looked after we headed to the lawns for group shots and my goodness did this lot know how to do group shots! We had so much fun capturing natural shots of Abi, Dan and their bridal party, we danced, we strutted and they worked every last second!
We then had a wander round the venue for some stunning couple portraits, there is hundreds of places for portraits at Grantley Hall however the pebble path leading down to the wedding venue will always be a particular favourite. Abi & Dan looked model perfect in ever last one… no really (!) since their wedding day they have now unsurprisingly become wedding models (@thevonbonemans) check them out!
Then it was time to head back to their guests to enjoy some champagne and head into their wedding breakfast. Abi then headed back to her room for a stunning outfit change to surprise Dan and both were ready to boogie the night away!
